Kyleigh's Story - The Things She Said!

The conversations with Kyleigh are growing more and more interesting everyday.  Sometimes I just cannot believe what I heard out of her mouth.  Below are from the recent conversations:

Mommy, "你今天在學校做了什麼呢（What have you done at school today）?"

Kyleigh, "畫圖 (Drew)."

Mommy, "喔 (Oh). 還有做什麼呢 (What else did you do)?"

Kyleigh, "睡覺 (Sleep)."

Mommy, "還有呢 (What else)?"

Kyleigh had no response.

Mommy, "有沒有吃飯 (Did you eat lunch)?"

Kyleigh paused for a moment and said, "媽媽你不要吵啦 (Mommy, don't you make noise)!"

(P.S.  What she meant was "leave me alone and don't ask me about lunch.")

Kyleigh, "要貼OK繃 (I want to put on a band-aid)."

Mommy, "為什麼要貼OK繃 (Why do you want to put on a band-aid)?"

Kyleigh, "貼OK繃就不痛了 (Put on the band-aid and then it won't hurt)."

Mommy, "為什麼會痛呢 (Why would it hurt)?"

Kyleigh, "撞到桌子了 (I hit the table)."

Mommy, "哪裡撞到桌子了 (Where did you hit the table)?"

Kyleigh, "手 (Hand)."

Mommy, "是今天撞到的嗎 (Did you get hit today)?"

Kyleigh, "不是 (No)."

Mommy, "那是什麼時候撞到的呢 (Then when did you get hit)?"

Kyleigh, "明天 (Tomorrow)."

Mommy, "還痛不痛呢 (Does it still hurt)?"

Kyleigh, "貼OK繃就不痛啦 (It won't hurt as long as I put on the band-aid)!"

I have an empty plastic cup in the back seat of my car.  Kyleigh was playing with it when she was sitting in the car seat.  Suddenly she said, "水都蒸發掉了 (All the water has evaporated)."

I brought a shopping bag upstairs, and Kyleigh asked, "媽媽, 你拿什麼呀 (Mommy, what are you carrying)?"

Mommy, "媽媽買的新褲子呀 (The new pants Mommy just bought)!  你要看看嗎 (Do you want to see it)?"

Kyleigh, "好呀 (Ok)!"

I pulled the pants out of the bag and put it up against my waist to show her.  Kyleigh jumped off the couch and ran over to me.  She pulled down the zipper on the new pants, and said, "媽媽, 你這個破了唷 (Mommy, your pants is torn)!"

Then she ran away back to her couch and laughed at me.

I was about to sit down on the couch and found a small black dog toy. So I picked it up and put it in Kyleigh's hands.

Kyleigh, "媽媽 (Mommy)..."

Mommy, "吭 (Hun)?"

Kyleigh, "謝謝妳找到我的小黑狗 (Thank you for finding my little black dog)."

I can't really translate everything accurately.  But I really love these precious conversations.
