How do you feel about school?

I just dropped my 8 year old off at school.  Today is his first day and I was a little sad but there was a little part of me that was ready for him to go back too.

How are you feeling about your child or children going back to school are you happy or sad?

You already know how I felt, but I'll tell you again. I am okay with it now but those first three days Tristian went to Kindergarden were pretty difficult for me.
Wow, you guys start early! Up until last year, Michigan usually started the week before Labor Day. Then, we passed a law requiring that schools don't start until after Labor Day. Supposedly, it's to save money, but since we still have to go for X amount of days, it means they go slightly longer into the summer.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to school. I'm a SAHM with 3 kids, and they fight and bicker quite a bit, so I'm excited they'll be in school soon. We moved to a new town this summer, so they'll be starting a whole new school system, too. They're getting excited about that. :)

This is the last year for my son he is a sneior in high school and the last of my three sons. I will miss him when he is gone next year but I have started to make plans for myself. I want to take some classes and find a part-time job and maybe travel a little myself. Life is beginning for me again....

Two high-schoolers and a college student. Bon Voyage! I'm going to try to avoid getting sucked into committees. Volunteering in the classroom is one thing, but the groups, well, I've had it.

i have scary momement for the gson to go to kindergarten, yet this past month, I am not up to having him around me 24/7 so the break will do me good. Yes I will be sad, but we both need a break, my 16 yr is dragin himself around with boredoom and yet there is stuff to do in the house,, so him gone today, it will be quiet, my gson missing him though today

My daughter is 12...and has been bored all summer. So we are ready for her to return~
It was a big adjustment for me when my son went to Kingdergarten, hard to be alone all day long without his company.
Now that we are homeschooling that is no longer a problem, I enjoy him every day.

I was upset to go back to school because vacation was so great. xD But my mother was really distraught because it was my senior year...hehe.
