Gather is hosting a posting party of sorts for financial strategies on getting through an adventure-packed weekend for less than $50. I'll be posting an entry.
I'd also like to expand on this and personally offer a signed copy of the best-selling retirement planning book "IRA Wealth: Revolutionary IRA Strategies for Real Estate Investment" (Square One Publishers, New York) to the person who publishes what I feel is the "best" post. The rules are somewhat subjective here, but I'll generally be grading up for ideas that could best help the broadest range of people. (Simply include "the bottom line extra" in the article tags to be considered for this member-sponsored promotion.) I'll read articles published through noon (EST) Monday, June 18, 2007, and post my commentary and the results next Wednesday.

Sorry to confuse you. Faith and I were just giving each other a hard time about our changing icons for last Friday's Gather Appreciation Day. The theme was stars, so I opted for a Wonder Woman icon. I hope that answers your question there.
As to the Weekend Wise ($50 weekend) postings, if you plan to post your own $50 weekend line-up then simply add "the bottom line extra" to your tags for the article. I'll publish a list with links to all of the entries that have the tag by next Saturday morning, and judge from that. I can't wait!
And yes, William, poems are allowed in this friendly competition. Simply post a piece about frugal fun for under $50 on a weekend, and add "the bottom line extra" to your tags. And you're in!

I am so excited! My weekend wise article is featured on the site today. Kristen Caira said it made her want to go hiking. LOL Can you believe it???
She emailed me and said that mine would be featured tomorrow instead of today. She felt that more people would be able to view it tomorrow.
