I discovered yesterday that even though it might take twice as long to clean a room with a little "helper" than it does on my own, it is way more fun! When I was sweeping, Dasha followed me around with her own little dust brush; when I took the coasters and the tissue box off the end table so I could polish it, she plucked a tissue out of the box and industriously polished the coasters (and even threw the tissue away afterward--score!); when I kicked off my shoes to stand on a chair to clean the tops of the walls, she hid them (okay, so that part wasn't particularly helpful); she helped me push the coffee table and the couch across the room so I could clean underneath ...
I probably could have gotten more done if I'd waited to clean until she was down for her nap, but it would have been much more boring. And if you have to clean, I say make it as fun as possible!
(Besides, as one of my friends pointed out, this is good training--start 'em out young!)

Most of the time I just do it myself so I can get it done quicker. I need to take the time to teach them and maybe I wont have to do it so often.
