Well I didn't get much chatting done this weekend so I wanted to mention a few things for those who are interested. First, I went to the doctor on Friday and he said I was 2 cm dilated but the baby's head is still up high so he thinks I still have a few more weeks to go. (I'm currently at 38 weeks & 2 days). Then this weekend I received some wonderful baby gift from Paula H! Being a new mother herself, she knows what I need so I was very thankful to receive them! If I remember right I got a pack of onsies, sleepers, socks & mittens and things of that sort. I should have taken pictures but I've already unpacked all she gave me and have everything in drawers and up in closets so that I will be ready for my baby's arrival! Then a few weeks ago I got an outfit and P.J.s from Priscilla and they were so cute! Since I haven't had the chance to take a picture of them and post them I will take a picture of the outfits when Jacob is in them! Much more fun to see with the little guy in them I think! Otherwise it was just a busy weekend of me cleaning out my closet, putting strollers together and all that good stuff that comes along with having a baby! Then of course the anticipation is starting to kill me. I know that I should enjoy these last few days or weeks of freedom that I have but I'm ready to do this already! I'm super nervous as well but I think that's probably a normal feeling to have as a first time mother! And of course at the same time I can't wait! I just pray God decides to make him happy and healthy and at that point I'm sure everything else will fall into place!

With my first, I woke up in hard labor at 5am, so no food, but plenty of sleep!
With my second, I woke up in very mild labor, barely noticable. In fact, we didn't go to the hospital until 10pm,
We didn't go to the hospital until 10pm, 12 hours later. I took naps through out the day, and ate light foods- apples, cereal, etc. Before going in, I took a long bath (my water hadn't broke yet), and we ate pizza for dinner. I was well rested, and had energy from eating.
With my third, I went into false labor 1 & 1/2 day before I was going to be induced, at night, while eating dinner. I ate, then we made a long drive to the hospital in a horrid snow storm. They kept me over night, but I didn't eat, and barely slept cause they kept poking me. They induced me at 8am that next morning, instead of the morning after. The labor was fast, but hard, and I was tired and hungry through it.
When I did go into labor I was progressing well but my water hadn't broke yet. the nurse asked if I wanted her to go ahead and break it, and I was so nervous that I said can we wait just a bit longer, so they waited another 45min.
Can't wait to see some pics of your little man!!
get what you can done now, when he finally arrives you are going to get really busy....

Best of luck to you and your family during this wonderful journey.
