A truer sense of Fall is settling in here in my hometown. Last night I came home - late - to discover the lawn freshly raked & mowed, looking about as nice as our lot can get. As a bonus our neighbors
finally raked their lawn. If you're reading this and you recognize yourself, know I was starting to hit the concerned-something-was-amiss point, because you're usually tidier than that. You would have had me on your doorstep this weekend all Gladys Kravitz-y in worry. Now I feel all busybody, but sometimes a neighbor has got to be, I guess. Just glad the external signs indicate things are alright over there.
And in feeling "alright" something tells me this week's show will be alright by me, but in fair disclosure I'm a fan of Emmylou Harris:
A Prairie Home Companion: All We Intended To Be
This Saturday on A Prairie Home Companion, we've stumbled into grace with very special guest, Emmylou Harris and her notorious Nashville band. Also with us, live from the Fitzgerald Theater, bluesman Spider John Koerner, The Royal Academy of Radio Acting: Tim Russell, Sue Scott, and Tom Keith, The Guy's All-Star Shoe Band with sole man Pat Donohue, and our happy host, an escapee from the silent generation, Garrison Keillor.
Before I get all "will you be listening" tell me,
has it been a quiet week in your hometown? If it hasn't, perhaps you need a little dollop of catchup:

I'm going dancing at The Cedar; the Pine Leaf Boys are playing tonight in Zumbrota and Saturday evening at the Cedar.
My goodness, Sadie. That's practically an opera! How is your local news covering all this?!
Susan, please kick up your heels for all of us. That sounds like fun. Are you covering the event or just there for a good time?
*cracked up* Point well made, Susan. Have a blast!
