If you followed along with the First Chapters Romance Writing Contest, you're probably as excited about our winner's first publication as we at Gather are! Meredith McGuire recently had her first novel published, The Duke of Shadows, under her pen name Meredith Duran and is here on Gather to talk about it! Check out her first interview with Gather.

Now is your chance to read her novel and review it on Gather! We have plenty of copies and are looking for some great people who would enjoy it! Tell us if you're part of a book club and we'll even send you copies for your book club to enjoy.

I love reading new books! I have always loved reading and have passed that love of rading onto my children! I have a few friends that love to read as well, we share our books and pass them around! I know they would LOVE a copy of this book as well. We would all be able to read the same book at the same time - how great would that be?!

I have gotten numerous books from Gather and I enjoy reading them and then writing my review here to tell others about the great books I've enjoyed! I would be honored to get a few copies of this book for my friends and I to read!

I am sure I would really enjoy reading this book. The excerpts were tantilizing. The characters seemed to have substance to them. Looks like a great read.

I would love to read and review this book. I also participate in a small book club with five other women. We just finished Anna Karenina and were looking for something with a different change of pace. This book sounds like it would be perfect.

I'm an eclectic reader, so I love reviewing all types, but romance will always be my favorite. You see romance novels have a direct conversation with my heart and this is why I like them; I would truly love to review Meredith McGuire's Book!

Meredith Mcguire's first two chapters offer a harmonious blend of British and Indian culture. Being culturally a part of the Indian Subcontinent myself, I can appreciate the historical Indian ambiance that Ms. Meredith has evoked. I would love to write a review of The Duke of Shadows, being the cross-cultural breed that I am. I would relish to re-live history through the aura invoked by Ms. Meredith's British Indian romance.

I'd love a copy to review. I am a writer too (though I publish erotica) and also belong to groups that routinely review new writer's work. I also head up a book club and if after reading the book, I think it's something the rest of the women would enjoy, I'd love to have copies for all.

I'm sure all of us would love to read and review Meredith's book. What a thrill for Meredith! I love reading new authors and I am part of a Romance Readers/Writers group of four. We're particularly interested in new writers. Not only do we study the content, but we sometimes do in-depths outlines to see how we can improve our own writing.

And to be honest, this cover just looks delicious!

With great pleasure I would review Meredith's book. I've reviewed books in the past and when I like them I share the information. For example today I attended a reading and book signing. While there I found myself suggesting several books I reviewed on Gather including, The Last Beach Bungalow and The Friday Night Knitting Club.

I would love to read her book and give a review for Gather. It was one of my top five.
I would love to support a fellow gather member and read her work and give it a review. I will even pass the book along to others so that they might enjoy it as well.

Congrats to Merdith on getting her work published! So many dream of this and it is great that she has achieved it.

I would love to read and review this book for a few reasons but the first two being, I enjoy reading new authors and I enjoy Gather. It'd be nice to have the chance to read a book by someone who won through Gather and got a book published.

At first I didn't recognize the title, then I looked at Meredeth's articles and saw that the name was changed from "The Shadow's Kiss."
I loved reading the first chapters of this book. I would love to read and review the whole thing. This sounds like an amazing book! I can't wait!
