50 books in a year...and counting!

Ok...Marianne R. has an article: Read 50 Books in a year - My list so far. I have been inspired to actually look and see how many I have read. I pulled up my Paperback Book Swap account and look to see how many I have posted as read so far this year. 65 (68 now) is the number. Now there are at least 27 Harlequin books scattered in there and since they are small I don’t know if I should count them. But, a book is a book right? Here is my list:

Now I have to say I enjoy reading, I really enjoyed the series I have read this year but I miss the Valedmar series and Pern series...AND Anne Rice's books. The majority of the romance novels were read while I was waiting for more books to arrive in the series that I read. Boy! Was some of those series saucy! Years ago when I was trying to get my hands on anything Anne Rice wrote I came across the Beauty series....geez did I learn to look at the warnings on book after that!! No wonder she wrote them under another name! Never one to waste money, I felt I had to read any books I buy...lets just say nothing shocks me in the reading anymore ;)

Wow that's a lot of books! Great job! I plan on trying for the 50 books in a year as part of my new years resolution, so now I'm just in the planning stages of writing a list of books I'd like to read and acquiring them on sale or at paperback swap.

I won't even list all the books sitting on the bookshelf waiting to be read. I swap on Paperback Book Swap and fill in the missing books by purchasing. I know there are over 100 books. I just love to read...hubby teased me ruthlessly about it until I posted them on PBS and gave over 200 to my stepson. I think I have talked him and his mom into joining PBS too ;)

Even before PBS I would get 6 books every 3 months and supplement that with the Harlequin books that sent 6 per month.
I too belong to the 50 books in a year group here!
I've packed the book that I've been keeping track of them on - but I'm on track for the year.

WOW -- that's a lot of reading. We have similar tastes in reading material. I have most of the Undead Series by Mary Janice Davidson.

We have now introduced our 14 year old niece to the Pern series. She LOVES dragons!!!!!!!!

Wow, that's a lot of books. I'm reading about 2 a month, which is a lot considering all the reading and studying I'm having to do for school currently.

I belong to Swaptree - you can trade CDs, books, dvds, and games all on one site.

Thanks for the info on the Pern series, I've added that to the list for my son and myself. We love the Percy Jackson, Artemis Fowl, and Fablehaven series.

Oh gosh...I forget which one it was but I cried like a baby...hubby teased me about it. I was so sad I was scared to read the next one because I didn't want to lose any more beloved characters. Those darn DragonLance books have gotten me a couple of times too.
