Blog Post Got Me On T.V. And In The Newspaper

I never expected that a self-authored post about my upcoming painting exhibit could garner such publicity! Both CNN Headline News: SoCal News and The Daily News newspaper found my post on the Valley News web site, independent from each other, and conducted further interviews with me about my newest painting series, Overviews.

This is what I posted:

A crew from TimeWarner cable's SoCal News, spent two hours here last week shooting a 2-minute segment. A couple of days later, I got a call from The Daily News about running a story on me this Sunday. While the gallery sent out most of the publicity to the art pubs and the L.A. Times, I sure am glad that I put that post up on the Valley News site. The television segment runs in about five weeks. I'll try to upload a video copy of it after it airs. I'm fired up!

Warren, this is nothing short of fabulous. You must be living right. I hope to get another original before the rest of the country turns on to you.
I'm working on the frame for my latest print and hope to do at least a photo essay.

Thanks, Ron. We're pretty excited around the Keating household. I couldn't have fantasized about getting this much coverage; it's mind-boggling, and all from a simple blog post, wacky!
And thanks for being a collector, Ron; you're a big part of the inspiration that has given me the energy to get to this point. I'm cranking on a multitude of last minute details (one of the reasons that I haven't been as present on Gather), but I will be celebrating big time on Thursday.

What excitement! I am so happy for you and your family Warren! How proud everyone must be. I can only imagine. Big things are coming your way Warren, so best to have plenty of canvas and art supplies because you are going to need them. ;)
