Another Opportunity To See A Blood Red Moon

This is one of two similar ATC size Digital Drawing/Painting pieces I did after watching a total Lunar Eclipse last summer – Aug. 27,2007.  It was eye opening because it was indeed a Blood Red Moon.

 

It was a thrill to watch this phenomena unfold over about 2 hours near the end of last summer.  I then went inside and did my Digital Drawing/Painting piece.

 

There is another total Lunar Eclipse due in a couple of weeks on Feb. 20/21 2008, which should be visible to most of the USA and many other places.  So if the night sky is clear have fun and watch for a Blood Red Moon.

thank you Anne - color is always fun for me - sometimes intense sometimes subtle - but you know i'm going to play with it the way i like it too.

Thank you Tanya - your vision is very right, you read the imae well. it was very special in many ways. one of those defining life moments that connects a being to the awe of the universe with revelations, insights and perspectives on life an beyond.

thanks John - i like the colors on this too. it's tempting to over do colors i like in my work - but every so often... i do what i like anyway.

It would have touched me deeply, too; a point in time when it would be easy to feel the oneness of all life. I would not have wanted to budge an inch, for fear of spoiling the moments. There was a time I, too, might have tried to put that feeling into an art form. I often find it easy to identify with your works.
