It started out like many of my drawings do. Drawn in pencil, outlined in fine-lined Sharpies and later scanned into the PC to be colored.
Before: Here's what the drawing looked like when I scanned it:
As you can see it's drawn and mostly outlined here. The black portions are colored in with Sharpie markers and there's some light penciled shading. You can also notice a drawn in foot on the girl. I later removed that during the coloring process.
After: This is what it looked like after I scanned it, colored in corel Painter and added a border to it. The border was added to aviod the small file from distorting during the upload.
There you have it! A before and after shot of my little Neopet drawing. :)

Rhoda, yes it was 100% drawn free-hand. Orders.. I dunno, I don't draw much, but I could try... I am sad that I can't seem to get Painter to install to any of my computers now and the ones I was working on is dead.
