Trimming "Friends"

I have recently been totally frustrated at the way my feed has like, ten articles of fluff for every one I want to read. There are some folks here that I don't mind reading fluff from, of course, because of personal relationships I've developed over the years here, but lately, I can hardly find anything I really want to read. That has driven me to disconnect from some, mostly people that neither read any of my work, nor do I read theirs.

In that effort, I found that it was really just three to five connections that were flooding me with games and "I just" articles of thirty words or less, etc. Sorry folks, you were out of there in a New York minute. Nothing personal, just sanity preservation. I still have a few I'm connected to because of the Sagas that I don't read much from, and they don't read anything but my Sagas, and very rarely, to my knowledge, at that, but they aren't flooding the feed, either, so I've left them intact. So what is the result of all this improvement and change?

Now, I find my feed crawls along, and there are still very few posts from people I am interested in reading (damned good weather), and I still find it hard to find anything I want to read, or comment on. Some of that's not my venerable connection's fault, and depends on my variable moods, of course, but I've been stalking comments of friends, fur craps sakes. This is probably something you don't want to read either, but if you don't write stuff for me to read, this is the sad result ;o). You only have yourselves to blame, dang nabbut. Oh, I know, glass house, rocks, and so on, but I gotta have something to write about. Hell, I've been thinking of taking up the accordian and forming a duo with butter jeebus, for heaven sakes. Save me!!!
