It seems as if all you air guitar players are finally really going to get to play. According to the BBC Radio interview, November 13, with the inventor of the "real air guitar" t shirt, you re going to REALLLLLY be able to play your favorite riffs. You absolutely don't need to know anything except that there's a verse and chorus in the piece. You just move a little bit with your left hand raised in the air and the chord will change. Another slight move and it changes again. The right hand technique remains the same.
The inventor is from Melbourne, Australia, and says each t-shirt runs on about a 3 volt battery, and can play 4-5 songs. He mentioned that glittery t-shirts would really be the coolest, but any kind would do. Mr. Inventor says they won't be ready for this Christmas --so sorry-- but keep an ear out! (pun intended) I apologize for not catching the name of Mr. Inventor, but I couldn't write it down, watch for deer and drive at the same time. A search on the web tonight didn't turn up any indication of what name the inventor goes by and my being over 64 doesn't allow me to retain names for longer than 1 minute.
As everybody in my family actually plays the guitar, I'm not in the market for one when it comes out, but will be willing to play with any wearers of such shirts, so long as they can move their arms in rhythm. The question is whether a half dozen air guitarists can all play together and who takes the lead.

Thanks for the info. Everyone in our family plays either guitar or drums or violin or flute so I don't think I'd buy the shirt, but it's a fun idea.
