Fireside 9: Friday, 13th

 

 

Oh, I thought I'd never see you again.  You're brave to be out tonight, it being Friday the thirteenth, and all.  Oh, you're not superstitious?  Fancy that!  But do come in, even though it's nearly midnight.  Are Luigi, Alfonso or Katrina here?  Yes, all three of them.  But they're locked in the cellar.  No, no, no!  Not for my protection.  For theirs!  It's Friday, 13th!  No, they're not superstitious!  On Friday, 13th Harold comes calling in the midnight hour.

 

Oh, I've never mentioned Harold?  Well, you've heard of the Headless Horseman from Sleepy Hollow?  You have?  No, no, no!  Harold's not him!  Harold's his big brother from Screaming Valley.  Yep, the headless body comes here on the 13th to fetch its head from the attic.  It's due any minute.  I'll introduce you.  I'm sure with head back on, Harold will be eager to meet you.  He gets so very hungry.

 

Well, I never!  Another visitor sprinting away down the driveway.  Why bother to call if you don't come inside?  Ha, ha, ha!  Talk about gullible!  Oh, damn!  Why did I do that?  We needed someone to fill in while waiting for slowpoke Harold to front up for the poker game in the cellar.

Magi, Hyperlink troubles? ...it seems to have worked now?
Kevin - no matter what I tried, I couldn't get the title to be the hyperlink, and had to revert to my old way of doing it. With other posts (in latter days), I've had no such trouble with the title being the link. I just can't work it out.

OK. If you insist. Dad had been playing some really lousy music that night, and even though I was too drunk to move, I still managed to escape to his office where I'd stashed my laptop, and that's where the first one found me. I'll never forget his very smooth opening lone.

"I speak Russian, and I absolutely HATE rod Stewart!"

That's when I knew I was IN LOVE!!!!
Love is blind. That's why I love Rod Stewart's music.

I have NEVEr liked rod Stewart, and neither has my Sweetheart. Dad uses his music to torture me, but that won't be for too long, since we'll never miss a chance to remind Dad that it was HIS FAULT that we met! hahaha First he let me drink too much of HIS homemade wine, then he tortured me with Rod Stewart, drove me into his office, and into the heart of a guy he will NEVER approve of!!! hahaha
Leah, I only like his ballads and love songs - in bursts, and then nothing of him for ages.

When we own Gather, we can do anything - we tell the politicians its a photo opportunity.
