Do you like to write? Do you like to see your works in print, or displayed neatly on the screen?
Some Gather members are great writers, some are good writers, still others are, how shall I say, trying. That is, trying in the sense of making an attempt at putting their thoughts into words. Or perhaps trying in the sense of testing the patience of the reader. You decide.
Whether you are good, but not yet great, or if you are trying, here are a few thoughts offered for your consideration before you hit the submit button. Of course if you are a great writer then you can help me.
1. Do not say more than you think. Be brief and stick to your point; your readers will appreciate that.
2. A good writer finds it difficult to fill a single page; not so the bad writer - he finds it easy. Leave some room for your reader's imagination. If he has questions he can always ask.
3. Like the man who has ears yet hears not, and who has eyes yet sees not, don't be like the writer who has a computer and insists on publishing his own deficiencies.
What do you say? Care to add to this list?
