ARE SOME MARRIAGES MADE IN HELL?
Although I am a supporter of and celebrate the recent California Supreme Court's decision to recognize the rights of gays to be legally married in the state of California - I am afraid that it will be used to stir the currently politically 'depressed' conservatives into a passionate counter reaction. If I am right , be prepared for an all out battle of a revival of so called "family values." When this occurs, the key issue of the presidential election :the composition of the next adminstrations' Supreme Court - will come into sharp focus. It is important for every potential voter to note that it takes only one new Supreme Court judge to the right, or to the left to determine for multitudes of Americans the literal quality of their lives for a considerably lengthy period of time.
Strap yourselves in tightly as the trip is likely to become notably turbulent.

Although I personally am not gay, what business is it of mine? If they are happy, they are certainly not harming me or society; let them be!
.....so what?
If people have a problem with that, they need to get off their duff and V*O*T*E!
And John McCain has already said "Let each State work it out" - so I don't know how this can work too well this election cycle for the Republicans.
Of course McCain has already stated that he wants to overturn Roe v Wade...and doubtless he is against this issue as well.
My view is that both of these issues...gay marriage and abortion...are private matters concerning individuals and their choices, and the government should not be able to restrict individual freedoms with regard to either one.
I, personally, think more people think I like I do than the other way and Obama has done a good job of getting the normally non-voting off their duffs.
