Matilda's Memoir Minute

Matilda Butler, my business partner and co-author on Rosie's Daughters: The "First Woman To" Generation Tells Its Story has started a new feature on our Women's Memoirs blog. She calls it her Memoir Minute.

Matilda is interviewing memoir writers and posting the audio recordings of those conversations. Currently her Memoir Minute is being written in conjunction with our blogging efforts for Story Circle Network. We're calling this series of Memoir Minutes "Opening Salvos."

In Opening Salvos, Matilda is asking writers about their approach to opening sentences and paragraphs in their books. Now we all know how important it is to captivate the interest and imagination of readers from the first page. So I think you'll find this most instructive.
