I'm feeling the need to post an article, but nothing in particular is worth an article all by itself - so here is #2 in the Randomness series.

We had our company picnic on Thursday at work. I planned it & bought all of the prizes. We had all you can eat fried shrimp, boiled (spicy) shrimp, corn on the cob, rolls, potatoes, chips for lunch. Dessert was your choice of pineapple cheesecake, key lime cheese cake, blueberry cheesecake or pecan cookie bars. We had a blast & everyone loved the gifts I bought. We draw a name & then let the person pick out what gift they would like. My Husband & I both won a gift as well. Then we had the rest of the afternoon off, which was a nice beginning of the 4th of July weekend.
We tore down the railing on our deck. Parts were getting wobbly & deteriorating. We did it in a completly different way & I love it! I may post a photo essay of the process. It looks great.
My Daughter came home from church camp on Friday evening.....sick. She was having bathroom issues & threw up once Friday night. Finally Sunday night I took her to the hostpital. They gave her a full IV and some electrolites. Said it could be food poisoning, or a virus - but that they treat them the same. She felt tons better after getting the fluids. She was in so much pain before that & crying. We had to pull over on the drive to the ER so she could throw up. Poor girl. She is all better now.
I am still loving the Kindle. It is great that I can get a sample of a book sent to the Kindle to read at my leisure and then buy it if I like it. No more forgetting about a book because I can't remember the name. Just download the sample. I am also reading more than I usually do as well - it is so easy to read from.
We put our house on the market today. We are hoping to move back home to Minnesota, where we miss familym good health care, better education, better job market.....I could go on & on....clear blue waters, better fishing....etc. We were a little sad that we had to put it on the market for about $15,000 less than it is worth. But we will see what happens. We odn't have much wiggle room on the price - since if we move back to Minnesota we will be moving to a lake home there as well.

Most likely our buyer will be from Dallas looking for a weekend home (a really big one! 2900 sq ft), or an out of state buyer. We hope our house sells. While it is listed now....we will still continue to make updates as time & money permits.
Our vacation to Minnesota/Canada is coming up soon. I am really looking forward to getting away from work....and Texas for awhile. I'm not over-planning the vacation since we already have to plan on seeing so much family while we are there. I want us to enjoy doing whatever we want while we are up north.

I do have an appointment with my favorite hairdresser in Lindstrom, MN though! I can't not see her if I am in Minnesota.
I'm packing up a lot of books to make the house less cluttered for showings, so I am also getting rid of a lot of them on www.paperbackswap.com Check out my article on them if you have never heard of them.
I think that is about all the randomness I have for today, along with random pictures~ thanks for stopping by~

Glad to hear you're still enjoying your Kindle but did you really have to mention it again to tempt me more? I'm trying to be so good and not spend money on big things like for awhile and every time you mention it, I head to Amazon and look it over again. hehe.
I do a lot of swapping on Paperbackswap too! Love that site!
thanks for the shots fun to share
I miss family, good health care, better schools for my daughter, fishing in water I can actually see in, people that don't drive on the shoulder of a highway, etc - I should write an article just on that!
