I read something here on Gather - I wish I remembered what it was called, maybe i'll dig it up. However it proves that you actually pay more taxes with Republicians than Dem. I think we (dem.) get a bad rap, it's like saying all Rep want you to own guns.

I look at it this way as a Liberal all I want to do is help those who need help, I am for reform not taxes. Please don't group us, while we disagree on a lot I am sure, I am sure we agree on this. It's not fair to make a sweeping generalization like that. :-)

I've voted GOP 90% of the time since 1970, but I am disgusted beyond belief with the GOP and feel that Bush and mostly the GOP in Congress have dishonored and disgraced this country I love for the past 10 years. I'm still 100% against abortion and I'm pro gun ownership, but enough of these scum. They're worse spenders than the 70's liberals. The GOP is responsible for putting judges in the Supreme Court who ruled it's okay for a city to confiscate your property. These people aren't Conservatives like Ron Paul. They are greedy bastards who don't give a fig about the average citizen. I'd rather have higher taxes than get down in the dank outhouse hole with these scum. My only caveat is I won't vote for Hillary. She is just a continuation of our inept war mongering liar in chief. By the way, I gave you 10 star. Hopefully you will respect freedom of speech and not delete my post. Btw: Please read my latest poem. It tells the truth.

Lots of interesting politics. I am no longer a Republican and pretty much agree with what William Dotani said, but I admire people who stand by their convictions and work toward common goals.

I don't agree that working for any particular party is one's patriotic duty (that would be more like casting an informed vote or serving in the military), and to Dee B: If America isn't where it should be after 8 years of Republican domination, how do you think it can ever get there?

You go, Girl! That's a low blow for ghost Writer to say that about your daughter. I'm basically a democrat, but don't like either candidate this year so I won't vote for either of them. It doesn't matter which party you're working for - you're working for your country either way. I'm excited for you and hope you enjoy yourself along the way.
