Another month has past and we are baking up some delicious cookies with the Sweet and Simple Gang! Make sure to check out the site for the original recipe and to see what everyone else did with these delicious cookies.
The recipe for White Chocolate and Orange Cookies is one you will want to copy. These cookies are delicate, sweet, with a gentle brush of orange on the tongue.
White Chocolate & Orange Cookies: Makes 2 dozen
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar + 2 TBS
- 1 egg
- Grated zest of 1 orange (2 to 3 tsp)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ¼ baking powder
- ¼ tsp salt
- 1/2 a bag of ( 6 oz ) white chocolate chips
Preheat the oven to 375 F.
Beat the butter and sugar. Add the egg, orange zest and vanilla extract.Sift together the dry ingredients.
Stir the dry ingredients and chocolate chips into the butter mixture and combine.
Roll into balls. Use your fingers to flatten onto a non-stick baking sheet, about 2 inches apart.
Bake for 8-10 minutes. Cool for five minutes and transfer to a cooling rack.
I lost my printed recipe where I made note of any adjustments. I made them about 2 weeks ago so the exact changes have completely left my brain, but I don’t think I changed too much of anything.
I DO remember that these cookies did not last long. Yum!
Thanks to Rosie and Maria for a super cookie experience
By the way…how was your Halloween? Rock, Jackie and Ted as Blueman Group.
