"Do you get on a roll, while reading where one book leads to the next, and so on?"
At any given time, I am reading three books. They are as diverse as can be. However, after reading Book 4 of Harry Potter series, I did go on a roll, reading Book 3, 2 and 1, in that order! After that I read it in the serial of 5, 6 and 7. I tend to read travelogues one after the other. I suppose you can call that being on a roll. I once read three books, about Afghanistan within a span of ten days. In my younger days, I read Agatha Christies for a whole month. I have never been tempted to read a whole series at one go. I can just about start reading any.
Now I try to be more selective. I prefer my next book to be as different as it can be. Although, recently I read five Jodi Picoults one after the other. Still those were very different from each other.
Nonetheless, reading challenges are most of the times, themed. Hence one tends to read books having a few or some common threads. I wouldn't call them similar though.

I'm a bit of a Sci Fi freak, so when the movie "I Robot" came out I went online and ordered all the Asimov robot series at one time. I had read "I Robot" probably 40 years ago, and thought the movie wasn't anything like the book. I had to re-read it to refresh my memory, ha ha. It isn't by the way....
Take care and thanks for your article.
Bible. I do read other books that are
interesting. I certainly will read Tom
Brokaw's new release he's been in my
life for many years. *smiles*
about Little Feather and Spirit Crow how they are
growning closer, she is about to discover the Gourd
buried by Grandmother. There's two more chapters
then the series is over I can publish my book.
Thank y'all for reading my series, for the comments
you have made. I do appreciate the support.

For the subject Biology we have 2 thick volumes, Chemistry three, Maths two, and English four. Each book is 'bout 3-4 cm thick, so you can imagine how we struggle studying those notes. And in our exams, if we answer a question through our understanding, and if the answer is correct, it is still considered wrong. Know y? Coz here in Malaysia, our exams are based on a marking scheme. Some teachers do not understand the English language well. So the answer to the questions is word to word from the text books. A single alteration of the sentence and the answer is wrong eventhough it is correct. Another sad matter is maths, after doing the equation, we have to explain how we did it and why is the answer such -word to word coppied from the text book, if not the answer will be marked as wrong. Even the steps to the equation must be exact as shown in the text book. So alot of 'on roll' reading is needed to study in Malaysia. That's why we seldome pactise this when reading fictions.
And what of bedtime books? In bed, I read always a book, which once begun, I would never read in the day.
This creates the anticipation of a bookish bedtime encounter...
