I figured this up just for you and I didn't even have to take my shoes
off to count.
After reading this I found myself very thankful gas doesn't cost
what some of the things listed below do - we would all be walking a lot
more or sure.

So you think that Gasoline is Expensive???

All these examples do NOT imply that gasoline is cheap; it just illustrates how outrageous some prices are....You will be really shocked by the last one!!!! (At least, I was...)
Compared with Gasoline......

Think a gallon of gas is expensive?

This makes one think, and also puts things in perspective.

Diet Snapple 16 oz $1.29 ... $10.32 per gallon

Lipton Ice Tea 16 oz $1.19 ..........$9.52 per gallon

Gatorade 20 oz $1.59 .... $10.17 per gallon

Ocean Spray 16 oz $1.25 ......... $10.00 per gallon

Brake Fluid 12 oz $3.15 ......... $33.60 per gallon

Vick's Nyquil 6 oz $8.35 ... $178.13 per gallon

Pepto Bismol 4 oz $3.85 .. $123.20 per gallon

Whiteout 7 oz $1.39 ....... . $25.42 per gallon

Scope 1.5 oz $0.99 .....$84.48 per gallon

And this is the REAL KICKER...

Evian water 9 oz $1.49..........$21.19 per gallon!
$21.19 for WATER
and the buyers don't even know the source.
(Evian spelled backwards is Naive.)

Ever wonder why computer printers are so cheap?
So they have you hooked for the ink.
Someone calculated the cost of the ink at................
you won't believe it...................
but it is true.........................
$5,200 a gal. (five thousand two hundred dollars)

So, the next time you're at the pump, be glad your car doesn't run on water, Scope, or Whiteout, Pepto Bismol, Nyquil or God forbid, Printer Ink!!!!!

In a sense I agree with Charles, but quantity in which things are used must also be taken into account. I doubt that I have brought a gallon of whiteout in my entire lifetime. Also some of these items such as "Scope" include the cost of paying for a brand name. Generic mouthwash cost less and works just as well.

I don't buy Evian, but I do buy bottled water. Can't help it, I like the taste over what comes from my faucet. I do buy gallon jugs from Sams Club at less than 80 cents per gallon. I agree with Carol that the gallon quantity for whiteout and other items is unrealistic. Anyway, that said, the figures are kind of fun to see!

I have lived places where the tap water was perfectly drinkable and other places where a carbon filter would not make it palatable and had to rely on bottled water for my hydration.
Are you in the market for an alternative?

I've been buying my liquid vitamins from a network marketing company for about three years now, a few months ago they began marketing a 16oz drinking cup with a carbon filter built in.
I've been using mine for about 6 months now, you can filter water from just about any source but filtering tap water will cost you around 20 cents per gallon and get you around 1500 refills before the filter reaches it's limit.
Filtering questionable water like river water will get you around 250 refills.

Hi Dan, Sounds like you've got a great product. However, I wouldn't drink the water in my city, even with a carbon filter. I live near refineries and the ship channel. I've read the quarterly water reports provided by my city and certain contaminates are just too close to the limit for me. I appreciate the offer. Take care.
