Zone 9 Container Gardening

I live in zone 9 and have the pleasure of gardening most of the year. Since I don't have much sunny spaces, I started container gardening.

Last year I could not keep up with the growth of my garden, while this year I see stunted growth and yellowing of plants. I never had to work with ph before but this year was so disappointing I decided to pay attention to ph.

The soil is very alkaline so I have slowly added coffee grounds to the soil. It made very little difference. I will keep you up to date with the changes as my experiment continues.

I am going to thin it out and see what happens.
