Chenille plant is blooming

Last year I posted some photos and this plant was identified as a Chenille plant and/or Red Hot Cat-tail.

I brought it inside for the winter and I think it's ready to go back out...after the snow is gone of course. The blooms are just starting. I call it my Cheetos plant. They look like red Cheetos, or little fuzzy caterpillars. Very strange.

But that's OK, it's blooming!

Thanks John. It is different, that's for sure. When it fully develops, it will be a strawberry color.

Isn't it a whacky little plant. We used to sell these in the nursery. I always got a kick out of seeing one bloom. Very nice photo.

Thank you all, as I keep saying, they have all gotten lots of TLC through the winter. THe blooms will get thicker and bigger, can't wait to get them outside.
