Cute, and probably true of most women. We each had our own closet, very small, in out old 1930's house. He had no reason to get lost in the closet unless it was amongst his own stuff.

When I moved in a few years ago my girlfriend emptied half of her closet for me. It has definitely been dwindling since then, not so much in the space allocation but in the unallocated space like the floor, door, etc. I'm pretty stubborn though and I guess it hasn't been a deal killer since we got married 6 months ago.

I am the closet hogger. I have on many occasions tried in earnest made room for the other person, but as I shop and another shirt, dress, pants etc moves in so does the space. Sooner or later it was 3/4 me and about a foot of space for the other person. I'm just glad that I'm in a home with two walk in closets now..so I can have 1.5 closets. :D

I get by just by not having much that needs to be hung up in a closet. Which is good because I get less than2 of the 10 linear feet of closet space.

he has 1/2 half and that is all his
of course, i have closets in other rooms,too
now if i would just donate the clothes i don't wear anymore........i might be better off

I never had the problem but then again I've never lived with any of my girlfriends. That may explain my next remark

"The space for my clothing has disappeared so I can't find anything that I want to wear."

Then don't wear anything, that will solve that part of the problem!

I take up a little more space, but we are pretty close to 50/50 really. I would like to burn everything i have right now & start over though. Oh, if I were RICH! Gather should do gc's for stores w/ CLOTHES!
