I am new to the group, and new to gardening. After 5 years of "experimenting" with plants around my first home, this year I have (so far...cross your fingers for me, please) managed to keep everything healthy, looking good, and even producing (herbs and tomatoes.) Now the birds are after my tomatoes. Nothing seems to work. Someone told me to buy a soap-based pesticide and the smell would deter them.
Tried it. No, not really.
Someone else told me to put cages around the plants.
Umm, I already have cages around the plants. These are clever birds.
A third person suggested a fake owl. I am hesistant after all previous advice has failed. Is the "fake owl" the way to go? I'm sure all of you have the answer! I would appreciate your help.
