Technically I'm taking two days of! My body called up my brain on Tuesday morning, telling it, that I, Mona, should take a couple of days off. I am a great believer in listening to what my body says. This has helped me to only have two sick days in the seven and half years I have been working in the company!
So this morning I slept in, and stretched my body for half an hour, while talking to my sister who is home on sick leave, and has been for almost a year. Then I made my self a strawberry smoothy and put on my running gear. But before I went on my way, I just had to check how you guys where here on Gather (Am I becoming addicted?) I finally couldn't postpone it any longer, so off I went. Now to be fair I didn't run all the way, I a newbie at running.
Back home again I took a long hot shower, time was of no importance. I then made a Sandwich with chilli-salami and sweet red pepper/paprika and packed it in a bag along with water with lime and some apple bits for snacking, a book and off I went to my garden.
Once there it was lunch time so I had the sandwich and some water, trying to get myself ready to get some thing done. Yesterday I had helped cutting the hedges around the garden, as regulation says that this should be done by Monday 3 of July. The sun had finally come out again, but it just made me want to relax, but yesterday clippings from the hedges, didn't move it selves. Well, I had to get something done, so I broke it down in sections. When Front section was done I could take a break, and so on. By the way, don't wear flip-flop when raking the cut of thorn hedge. Blood everywhere. At least my feet got to feel the sun and that is delightful!
Finally after four hours I could see the light at the end of the tunnel and I could leave the rest until tomorrow. I packed my things, at least some of them, I forgot my book. I went back home, and just plan to have a nice quiet evening, and eat some healthy for supper. Although I had an ice cream as a reward for a job well done…
However to avoid the work, I read I little bit, took some pictures, anything that could keep focus away from the job at hand, and it is a day off, so I'm allowed. How lovely it is to know, that tomorrow is yet another day of the treadmill.
Today was a good day, and the sun was out, the sky was blue, the flowers were beautiful. I enclose some pictures for you. This was the tale of my day of.

It's always good to take what in English is sometimes referred to as a "Mental Health Day." Your photos remind me very much of Danish summer... I wish I were in a climate where I could grow peonies. Hope you had a nice weekend!
