Planting Season Limericks
Oh, today is a time for some planting
I'm out here grunting and panting
The peas are all done
Oh, bring on the sun
No time for raving and ranting
So peat pots are def'nitely out
I'm making ones from newspaper stout
In goes the dirt
Then seeds I insert
In two weeks I'm sure they will sprout!
So yesterday we got manure
We're spreading it o'er the "fleu-ers
Courtesy of Rab-bit.
He sure has good shit
I'll be the village envy, for sure
Oh when will we ever have rain
The weatherman says with disdain
How will my crops grow
He says he won't know
Until the drops come down
I can't tell you how much fun
Was spending this time in the sun
My poor back is aching
I've blisters from raking
But now I'm belting down one

Serina , yes, the seeds must be planted on Good Friday. It actually has to do with planting by the moon, and the moon sign is just right for planting then. Actually on the moon waxing , one should plant crops that fruit above group. and waning, one plants root crops.
can't wait for the fruits of your harvest, this summer.
my back already complaining
