I was just watching a video for my history class and it had Langston Hughes' poem, Dream Differed, read aloud. It was such a moving poem and intriguing set of words for the title, I thought immediately that it should be a Two Word Pair. Therefore, I am challenging it now. I hope it gets your creativity flowing, and that this will pay homage to Langston Hughes, definitely a great mind of our past.
Not familiar with the Two Word Challenge? Well, read on to find out how you can participate in this fun group and see all the past Two Word Challenges.
The Two Word Challenge Rules:
A word pair is issued to the group, (past examples: Bottled Promise, Sibling Torture, Fuzzy Edges, Coddled Sanity) and the challenge is to post an article, poem, story, picture . . . somehow using the announced "two words" as closely as challenged (Bottled Promises, Sibling's Torture, Fuzzy Edge, Coddle Your Sanity all accepted variations, but try to use the words as issued). It's as simple as that!
Post your entry to the Two Word Challenge Group (and to all of Gather too, if you like) and tag the article with 'two words' and then the current two words, like this:
two words, dream differed,
All Two Word Challenges need to be kept PG to permit everyone to participate. Non- PG Interpretations of the Two Words are fine, as long as you flag your article appropriately.
There is no deadline. You can do these at any time.
You can also write about any of the previous Two Word Challenges. Check out Two Word Challenges Past to Present to see the complete rules as well as all of the previous Two Word Challenges.
If anyone feels a group submission is inappropriate, feel free to contact the group owner. If you have a suggestion for a future Two Word Challenge, send a private message to Monica Zenberg - Group Owner (daydreambeliever) with the details of your idea(s).
Please remember that ONLY submissions pertaining to the Two Word Challenge(current or past challenges) will be accepted to the Two Word Challenge Group. Off topic submissions will be declined.

It may take me a while though, if not at all for this challenge, as I'm a bit under the weather. Just stopped by to check things out, but it's back to bed for now.
Which ironically means that for me the challenge will have to be "deferred" until after my "dreams", LOL!
... (Now aren't you glad to know I can still crack jokes even when my body is hurting!)
I am scared, I am no Langston Hughes.
It IS 'Dream Deffered!
Dream Deferred
What happens to a dream deferred?
Does it dry up
Like a raisin in the sun?
Or fester like a sore--
And then run?
Does it stink like rotten meat?
Or crust and sugar over--
like a syrupy sweet?
Maybe it just sags
like a heavy load.
Or does it explode?
Langston Hughes
e.g. I had a dream that my draft was deferred until I was of age.
