That's what all the "news people" told me I'd encounter today at the polls.
But alas, they were wrong. (At least for me.)
My 8 year old son and I hit our polling place at 9am this morning. We were back in the car and on our way at 9:15. Here's a really quick look at our really quick trip to the polls.



Although I LOVE voting, and I had a super easy voting experience today, the real excitement comes tonight! I can't wait to watch the returns on TV and chatting with everyone on Gather as the results come in.

No lines for us here either. We went at about 10am to avoid the before work and lunch rush. We were in and out in 5 minutes and all went smooth
Hundreds of people in a huge line on a New York City sidewalk.
It was thrilling, the "real America".
Met two neighbors, spoke briefly to a famous actress, and listened to the conversation around me.
Obama is going to carry Manhattan!
Chatted with frineds who were voting in Pennsylvania and Virginia, and Maryland; pleased that turnout is huge everywhere.
