With Gustav hitting the other end of the Mississippi, today's RNC events have been scaled back. That noted the protest march planned for today will still go on.

It will hurt us locally, because we won't be the focus of all the media.
Things to watch in the coming days..........
The mainstream media will not give Republican Gov Bobby Jindahl any air time, the media doesn't want to give national publicity.
All the credit will go to Ray Nagin. Bobby Jindahl will get none.
The mainstream media will not air Micheal Moore's comments on God hating the Republicans and thus cause the hurricane.
Monetarily or just in terms of visibility?
It seems a shame that St. Paul won't get the same coverage it might have gotten had Gustav not appropriated so much air time --- but it is understandable at this point.
The crowd of yeahoos from the Republican small tent went down south just to appear as if they cared about the impact of Gustav.
I, even tho I still am a fiscal conservative, it is now not possible for me to support McCain at all.
Therefore, I would urge anyone that I can to not vote for him either because of his desperation at winning over the evangelicals with the extremely social conservative in Sarah Palin. He will over-turn Roe vs Wade and force the public school system to teach the religious dogma of creationism along with science.
There is no way that I can stand by and let this religious theocracy of his, that he seems want to bring into the US government, stand.
