According to a new poll just released by the Minneapolis StarTribune, U.S. Senate candidate Amy Klobuchar (MN-D) leads opponent Mark Kennedy (MN-R) by 19%, a gap that some dispute but many expect to widen. Perhaps her seemingly ubiquitous presence is one reason why.
While we all see most candidates out on the campaign trail at some point, Amy manages to personally meet more people than seems humanly possible. Over the fourth of July holiday, for instance, her family participated in seven parades from Brainerd to Rochester. Over the past several weeks, Amy has been talking and, more importantly, listening to voters and nonvoters alike in the cities of Mankato, Winona, Cloquet and Albert Lea, to name just a few.
In addition to meeting residents face-to-face, Amy Klobuchar has introduced herself to thousands of television viewers with a positive campaign message. Notably missing from the ad are negative remarks and attacks on her opponent. Regardless of one's politics, who can deny that this was an excellent way to open the television campaign ad season?

Is this not the same paper who sabotaged John Derus's campaign by "misprinting" his picture into a story on a scandal>
Is this not the same paper that destroyed Rod Gramms' campaign by attacking a son who didn't even live with Gramms?
Is this not the same paper that is going after Hatch by trying to taint his children's boyfriends?
Who actually subscribes to the Startribune anyway?
However, in case their poll isn't enough, the national firm Bennett, Petts & Blumenthal conducted a poll showing Ms. Klobuchar ahead by 16 points last week, during which time two additional polls came out showing her ahead. SurveyUSA published a 5-point lead and Zogby showed her up by 7.
