Things in the herb garden are going swimmingly. That's a figure of speech of course because there hasn't been much water in the Twin Cities other than from my garden hose. I've been using chives, basil and parsley along with some cilantro and a bit of dill. My lavender plant isn't growing very fast. Since I haven't grown lavender before it sorta reminds me of rosemary. I cut it back this week in an attempt to stimulate some growth. I didn't have much but enough to roast some chicken. I haven't done much cooking with lavender but I must say, I am totally in love with it. The flavor on the chicken was both delicate and distinct. Don't tell the French but I think they really know something about food and lavender. So, I am impatient for more lavender and ways to use it. What other things do you use lavender in?

I just put it in a little cloth bag and hang it from the spout while the water is running. It make the whole room smell heavenly!
I lied. I wrote an entire article.
I'm ready to try it.
