The latest 2013 WWE Summerslam results are coming on the night of Sunday, August 18 from the Staples Center at Los Angeles. There's already been several matches held prior to the event. There's also a free live streaming match ahead of the main pay-per-view featuring Rob Van Dam and Dean Ambrose fighting for the United States Championship, according to Cageside Seats.
The WWE 2013 Summerslam results for the main pay-per-view start at 8PM EST, when the big matches take place. There's at least seven scheduled for the event which should run just under 3 hours long. Among those are John Cena vs. Daniel Bryan with the WWE title on the line, and CM Punk vs. Brock Lesnar. Also, Alberto Del Rio defends the World Championship against Christian, while Kane faces Bray Wyatt in a "Ring of Fire" match. It's unknown what exactly this match will entail, as it could be similar to an "Inferno Match," or a more PG-version of the former specialty of Kane.
The United States title match will be on the Summerslam live streaming pre-show at 7PM EST, which is free for fans to watch online. In this match, current title holder Dean Ambrose of The Shield, faces challenger Rob Van Dam. Ambrose's title reign has been for nearly three months, after he originally defeated Kofi Kingston for the belt at another pay-per-view. Since then, he's had successful defenses of the title against Kane, Kofi Kingston and Adrian Neville of NXT. Can he defeat RVD in this latest title match?
There's already been some early results via the Summerslam Axxess event, which was being held outside of Staples Center in Los Angeles. Among those reported results, Maria Menounos and diva Natalya defeated the divas team of Brie Bella and Eva Marie. Menounos is no stranger to the wrestling ring and helped make for an interesting matchup which also involved several members of the WWE reality show on E! called Total Divas. Other match winners came from the NXT program, with the tag team and divas champions all winning.
Many fans will be waiting to see who the winners of the main pay-per-view matches are. There's a lot of potential surprises that could take place during this event, including a cash-in of either of the Money in the Bank championship match contracts. Will Randy Orton or Damien Sandow cash in their contracts to take over the WWE or World Heavyweight titles and leave Summerslam as the new champs?
The latest Summerslam results and match winners will be listed in the comments below. Feel free to leave comments on who you'd like to see win on Sunday night as well!
