The NFL preseason 2013 games last through this weekend with live streaming, TV and radio coverage available for football fans. Among the games on the weekend schedule will be a Saturday meeting featuring the New York Giants vs. Pittsburgh Steelers. These are two teams which have accounted for half of the last eight Super Bowl championships between them, as each team has won it twice. On Saturday night, the two historic franchises clash in a preview of the upcoming season to come, with NY Daily News reporting that Eli Manning won't be the only Giants QB on display.
With the latest NFL live streaming game arriving for fans, it will be yet another glimpse of potential stars of the future. The NY Daily News report from Aug. 8 has indicated that the Giants plan to use all for of their available quarterbacks in the preseason game. That includes regular starter Eli Manning, and three others: David Carr, Curtis Painter, and Ryan Nassib. Nassib is familiar with the stadium, as he played for the Syracuse Orange there against the Pittsburgh Panthers. Nassib threw for 225 yards in that game on 22-of-32 passes completed.
Nassib said with regards to the upcoming game that he's excited, adding:
"I've played in that stadium a couple times already. The atmosphere is going to be a little bit different, but the field is going to be a little familiar. But going into your first game, there's always going to be some butterflies."
Nassib's just a rookie, so this will be his first time facing the Steelers. These two teams battled it out during the 2012-13 regular season back on November 4, 2012 with the Steelers pulling off a 24-20 comeback, thanks to two touchdowns in the fourth quarter. Isaac Redman rushed for a career best 147-yards in the game for the Steelers, while Ben Roethlisberger had 216 yards passing with 2 touchdowns. The Steelers finished the season at 8-8, missing the playoffs due to a loss to the Bengals. The Giants finished at 9-7 for the season and also failed to make the playoffs, barely missing out due to being edged by the Minnesota Vikings with a 10-6 record. So both teams will be in search of redemption for the coming season.
The Giants vs. Steelers game has a start time of 7:30 p.m. EST on Saturday night from Heinz Field in Pittsburgh. Television coverage will occur in local regions, with NFL Network also listed as providing coverage of the game. There will be live radio coverage on Sirius XM Radio. The Giants vs. Steelers live stream will be available to those who have ordered the subscription-based NFL Preseason Live package through the NFL site.
