The Magellanic clouds, not seen from here
On dark Australia nights I know appear
To view a few such sights excites my dreams
And Tucanae, that jewel of the sky
The brightest cluster I would magnify
With mirror telescope, I hope some day
At night I might just scan the firmament
By day or cloudy night I’d not lament
I’d buy a cuppa for my Aussie friends.
Thanks to Irina for the form.
Today's form: Tercetonine
Each stanza has 3 lines ( tercet). The first two lines rhyme. The third line contains internal rhyme so that the last word of the third line also rhymes with a word within the same line. Example of internal rhyme: I like to hopscotch when I wear my watch.
Any number of tercets (more than one)
Today's prompt: anything to do with Australia, that is include a word that is tied to Australia.
