There is a guy in my apartment complex who has asked me out several times. I've politely declined every time. The last time another lady who lives in my complex was with me outside, and when he walked off she asked me why I turned him down. The first thing is I'm just not attracted to him. But I know when you get to know someone they can become more attractive. Well, at least that is how it is with women. Anyway, I told her it was because of how he treated his dog.
She thought that was a bad reason. I do not. I think looking at how someone treats their parents, or their pets is a good indicator of what kind of person they are. I've been living in this complex seven years. So for seven years I've seen how he treats his dog and I do not like it. I really wish that dog could go to another home. But he doesn't abuse her, so it's not like I can call animal control.
When it comes to a potential boyfriend/girlfriend/spouse, how do you judge character?
