I Don't Like the Front Page

I don't like that when I bring up Gather that the front page is always asking something about a missing person or someone who has been killed it is depressing and sad to me.  I already have problems with depression and I avoid the news because of it. Then I come in here and there is always a picture of some bright and vibrant person who is likely dead, it is depressing.

Am I alone with this?

No, you're not alone. However there appear to be many voyeurs here who want to read this sort of thing, or it wouldn't be on the opening page.

Nah, that's why we all stopped watching the news. It just doesn't seem like anything happy is news worthy

I typically don't watch the regular news because it's so depressing. I go into gather from my email so I miss the front page and don't see it. Unfortunately most people do look. When they had a newspaper that reported good news it folded.

I think it is sad but if we see them we might be able to get them home safe before the other happens.

Nope, your not alone. I don't bother reading anything on the front page except members comments to find new stuff to comment on that is located on the right side of the screen.
