Happy St. Patrick's Day! Even though I am Italian, I will wish my friends a Happy St. Patty's Day. It seems that it is more of a celebration here in America, and especially on the East Coast. I live in Oklahoma where it was mentioned once today, but give people a reason to celebrate, and here we go: green beer anyone?

In Ireland it is still mainly a religious holiday and family day.

In my town, it is an excuse to get drunk. There is a huge party downtown and that's what usually happens. I used to go, but can't stand the drunks and the crowds. Don't get it!

You'll find me wearing the green most any day since green is my favorite color but Happy St Paddy's day to you, too, my friend. And remember, "It's okay to pretend to be Irish on St Patrick's Day. We pretend to be good on Christmas, don't we?"
