Rapper Lil Wayne was hospitalized yet again after suffering seizures in L.A. on Tuesday. He was taken to Cedars-Sinai hospital by ambulance and later released following treatment.
According to a report from TMZ, the rapper, whose real name is Dwayne Michael Carter, was filming a music video when the seizures occurred.
This isn't the first time Carter has suffered from seizures. He had two on separate airplanes last fall, after which his doctors prescribed regular seizure medication.
It's uncertain if Weezy failed to take his medication or didn't take it correctly prior to this last onslaught of seizures taking place. Hopefully the medication hasn't lost his effectiveness. If that's the case he may need to undergo a trial and error period to find another one that keeps his seizures at bay.
The No Worries artist is no doubt the center of prayers from his family, friends and fans. Seizures are serious medical issues, as Kelly Osbourne found out recently. She suffered a bad seizure on the set of her TV show Fashion Police and was hospitalized for several days.
As with Osbourne, Lil Wayne needs to seek his doctor's advice before stopping or changing his medication--or using drugs and alcohol while taking his seizure meds.
