That's what it takes to drive from our house to the little town where my middle daughter and her family have moved to.
Monday afternoon I moved the rest of their stuff to their new house. It's a modular home and a lot nicer than the trailer they were living in in the previous town. Skyler is enjoying his new school right away, and for a town of just 1,377, each student gets an Ipad to do their homework on.
They unpacked fairly fast and already had us, and my mom, over for dinner tonight. Heather fixed pork chops, mashed potatoes with gravy, green beans, and cantaloupe. We did have to eat and run though to get Jasmine back to town for youth group tonight.
It's nice to have them living so close :)
Yesterday was a busy day, starting with me fixing Jasmine a breakfast from her diet menu plan. I bought the Slim in 6 program from the infomercial. It came in yesterday but there was no time for her to start the exercises. We had put together the menu plan from the website already.
Wow.....no way can I afford to follow the menu plan exactly as I just don't have that kind of money to buy the ingredients for the menus. I am doing what I can, buying what I can as I have money.
The plan has her eating 5 times a day and snacks are things like a hard boiled egg and a piece of whole wheat toast, or tuna on crackers. I get it now...extra protein to build muscle mass as she is doing the exercises. Yesterday's breakfast was 3 pieces of French toast with 2 strawberries and 2 pieces of turkey sausage and a cup of low fat milk. Today's breakfast was a bagel with cream cheese, 2 Tablespoons of dried cranberries and a glass of water. For supper one night we had chicken and spinach wraps...they were sure good!
Last night, however, was family fun bingo night at church so that blew the diet. Her supper tonight at Heather's was pretty good, except the menu plan substitutes the mashed potatoes with baked sweet potato. But, it was a birthday at youth group so ice cream cake it was! I sure hope we can get a real handle on this and she can get her weight lost and shape up :)
Speaking of bingo night....my mom walked away last night winning all the games but 2! Her lucky night for sure. She shared her bingo bucks with the grandkids and let them pick out a prize for themselves too.
Now, I'm hoping to get some sleep---I woke up about 2 am with terrible stomach cramping. I ended up 2 hours or so searching online about painful gas and IBS! I'm pretty sure that's what I am dealing with anyway. It comes and goes.
Another busy day tomorrow with Jasmine having a dr appt, and so does my mom, and my granddaughter has a school program in the evening.

I lost 30 lbs on Weight Watchers in my 20s. I had to eat so much food that my husband suggested I'd break records for the person who gained the most on WW. It worked though.
Wishing the best for Jasmine.
Her other snack was tuna on crackers. The tuna was 2 oz and has a little lemon juice, olive oil and red onions mixed in and the only crackers we have right now are Wheat Thins
