Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart were snubbed by the 2013 MTV Movie Awards in the category of Best Kiss. Why? This would have been the last year ever that Rob and Kristen could have stood at the podium and kissed while receiving their coveted award.
According to a report from Hollywood Life, in character as Edward Cullen and Bella Swan, Rob and Kristen have won the MTV Movie Awards Best Kiss award four years in a row. It seems unfathomable the pair wouldn't even get a nomination for 2013.
It seems it's the present state of Rob and Kristen's real life relationship that's behind the nomination snub.
"With the relationship between Kristen and Rob so strained, the people who make the decisions on nominations found it to be very awkward if they had them nominated, because if they won, then it would really put the show in a bad spot when one of them wouldn't show up for the show," a source explains.
Does this mean the real state of Rob and Kristen's relationship is bad? Twihards have held out hope that maybe things had simply been misconstrued in the media.
It is indeed a sad day for Breaking Dawn fans. Not only have they witnessed Edward Cullen and Bella Swan on the big screen for the very last time, and celebrated the release of the final chapter of The Twilight Saga on to DVD format--they now must live with the realization that as the 2013 MTV Movie Awards will go on without Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart receiving the award for Best Kiss.
How will Twihards ever recover from this kind of blow?
