50 Shades of Grey

I finished reading the book 50 Shades of Grey by E.L James at 2am this morning. It's part of a trilogy and right now I only read the first book. I won't do a complete reveiw because of my site Epinions however I need to say something about this book as there are two other posts about it that show it in a bad light.

50 Shades of Grey is not a bad book. It actually turned out to be a really good and in certain ways very touching. It does have a lot of sex but it is also categorized as erotic romance. It's there on the book in plain site so there is your warning right there. The only thing that bothered me really was I was never into S&M like they detail it.

Without the sex you miss the dynamic of the relationship though I can see that. Also it's the characters. The characters make this book. They have so many sides and go through so much inner conflict you're just dying to know what will happen.

Like my mother in law said you need to give the book a fair chance and have an open mind.

Good idea, and since no one goes near my iPod but me, it'll be safe to Kindle it. However, I'm scared of the kind of thing they're going to reccomend after. LOL

EEEEEK!!!!! Whatever happened to the notion that a person may read one book, or series, out of a genre, and then possibly be DONE with that genre? I think they need a "don't reccomend books similar to this one" option to check, so that this doesn't happen.

It sure would! A type of SPAM filter for advertisers. Imagine how much more seriously people would take ads, and reccomendations, if they were actually what the person WANTED to know?

Now that you've finished it I can ask if you also found it odd that she was fine with him hitting her there with a whip but she howled and couldn't tolerate a spanking with his bare hand.

lol it's def like that but the book is good. I can't wait to get to the other ones. I'm also going to start reading Sylvia Day too
