Obama gets his science fiction universes mixed up.

In response to an interview question on the Sequestration, Why Can't You Just Force Congress To Act, our President offered the response that he lacks dictatorial powers, and cannot fix Congress with a "Jedi Mind Meld." WRONG Mr. President. Well, okay, no you indeed lack the power to lock up Congressmen until they do their jobs. When I say WRONG, I am referring to the mind-meld statement.

Look, any fan of Star Wars or Star Trek will quickly recognize that the President confused the two fictional universes. It's a "Vulcan mind meld" in Star Trek, or it's a "Jedi mind trick" in Star Wars.

Get it right, Mr. President! You do not want to make Sasha and Malia ashamed of you.

they were. I have to typecast myself here, and go for Star Trek. Frankly, Star Trek had so much more to say about human nature and the human future, that Star Wars is sort of embarrassing by contrast.
Okay, the first 3 Star Wars films had some charm. But after that, Oh God.......
