Steve ended up not having to work near as long as expected so he was able to help with the move. My oldest daughter seemed disappointed, but declined when we told her she could still come and help. I think she just wanted to drive the U-Haul LOL
The highway on the way there was snow packed here and there. The biggest issue was the wind blowing the snow across the highway, sometimes making it so you couldn't see through it. On the way home it was still blowing but not near as much. The biggest issue on the way home was the splatter every time a semi passed by on the other side of the road.
We arrived and Adam already had the U-Haul half packed. We started getting stuff into our van. After a McDonald's lunch break we finished up and headed back to town. It really didn't take long at all to unpack the van and the U-Haul. We had pizza for supper.
I think things are settling down now for the evening. I know I'm tired and ready to just sit and do things on the computer.

I know one thing.....I'm going to start car shopping here in the not-too-distant future, for a HEAVY car. I just want to get rid of this "piece of tin!" It's no good for winter driving.
Surprised that your hubby had to work today in all the mess.
