Oscar Pistorius' tragic accidental shooting of his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp grows more tragically bizarre with each passing day. New reports have emerged claiming that Reeva was already dead when Pistorius shot her. Her skull had been crushed by a cricket bat. If that is true, then obviously Pistorius' claim that her shooting death was an accident is obviously a lie.
According to Hollywood Life, police told Reeva's family that "her skull was bashed in by a cricket bat, allegedly wielded by...Pistorius. Injuries consistent with being hit with the bat were also evident on Reeva's head when her family viewed her body before cremation." If the forensic evidence has been correctly interpreted, it means that Reeva was still alive after Pistorius' savage beating, and he shot her to finish her off, or he shot her to fabricate the story about mistaking her for an intruder. Pistorius claims that he'd used the "blood-stained bat...found in his home" to "break down the bathroom door when he realized he shot Reeva and not an intruder."
Right.
On February 22, Reeva's father Barry Steenkamp made a statement that Oscar "will have to live with his conscience if he is lying about what happened."
Right. Hopefully, he'll have to live with more than his conscience. Prison would be a good start.
Although his story has more holes than a pair of fishnet stockings, whether Oscar Pistorius is lying or telling the truth will be decided in a court of law. The real question is: Will his be another case of a famous person receiving "celebrity" justice while the victim's family receives none? Stay tuned.
R.I.P. Reeva.

This report conflicts with Reeva's uncle (I think) saying he saw her at the coroner's and she didn't show signs of getting beaten, and he didn't know where those reports were coming from. I thought this might be true because the beating (and blood on the bat) was not mentioned during the bail hearing.
This guy is guilty of rage murder. There's no way someone would think there was an intruder in the house and not wake his bedmate and tell her about it (and probably to call the cops while he investigated) - esp if he planned to start shooting. The only thing slimeyer than Oscar is his relatives who say he's innocent of murder, but this goes along with the SA way of violence against women, for which Oscar is just another statistic now.
Relatives say Oscar should be put on suicide watch until the trial. I think they should give him some rope, a place with a balcony, and maybe some knives, but keep him away from guns and girls.
