I just made a pot roast for Monday that will last for at least two meals. I cook it up on Sunday, and Monday morning I put it in the slow cooker for eight hours, It is fall apart tender and delicious.
I use a cheap cut of meat and brown it then I add onions and saute the onions in the meat juice. I add about 8 cups of water with spices and about 5 tablespoons of cornstarch to make the gravy. I add wine to the sauted onions before I add the gravy I made.
I add vegetables such as potatoes, peas, carrots and celery. Yum. I can't wait to eat it tomorrow.
