A new Michael Bloomberg ban is definitely going to give his constituents pause. The emperor, er, mayor of New York City, is now outlawing two-liter bottles of soda pop with pizza delivery orders. Remember a few months ago, when New York City voted to end the sale of Big Gulps? Well, that law goes into effect in a couple of weeks, and you might be shocked at what else you can't do under the decree.
Not only will two-liter sodas be disallowed with delivered pizza, but you also won't be able to serve pitchers of carbonated beverages at your kid's birthday party. What? No pitchers of Coke at a birthday party? Is Michael Bloomberg completely insane?
In a democracy, you get the government you ask for. New Yorkers brought this lunacy upon themselves, when they ignored the term limit regulations, and installed this clueless billionaire back in office for another four years. The power has obviously gone to this guy's head, and it's a just a matter of time before he appoints a horse to the New York City Council.
What is your opinion about this new Bloomberg ban affecting pizza delivery? Is this discriminatory against working people, who can't afford to eat a refined diet? Is the nanny state getting out of control? Or, is obesity such a dire problem, that extreme measures are necessary? The first Bloomberg ban concerned smoking in bars, followed by salt in restaurants, then 32-ounce drinks at sporting events.
