It's Oscar Night~Meet Nine-Year-Old Quvenzhane...

It's Oscar night, and this amazingly wonderful "sleeper" of a movie, Beasts of the Southern Wild, is nominated for Best Picture, along with 8 other highly acclaimed movies. Tho' movies like Argo & Lincoln are creating most of the Oscar buzz, "Beasts" is the only movie I have any interest in seeing~mainly for the incredible acting job of it's 6 y/o heroine, QuvenzhanÃ© Wallis,Â who was only 6 years old when she played the part. After watching several trailers, it's evident that this pint-sized actress is truly deserving of her Oscar nomination~her performance is nothing short of mesmerizing! It's not likely she'll win, but her nomination made history, as the youngest actress ever nominated for an Oscar~check out the links here & below for a glimpse of QuvenzhanÃ© in action...

I got a Doctor's appointment today, this cold seems worse so will be sure and keep my appointment today. I did enjoy watching the Oscars until I feel asleep. :)

I am watching! Not sure how I feel about Scott MacFarlane. Loved Anne Hathaway's speech. So happy for her.

I got the impression MacFarlane was going to spice things up a bit, he's that kind of comedian.

I thought the jokes would be a bit harsh but I think he has chickened out a bit. Considering the characters he does on Family Guy, I thought he would be more controversial. A little disappointing. Loved Barbra Streisand though.

Just about all the major category winners won as predicted~glad I didn't waste my time watching this uneventful show! And, this beautiful movie didn't even grab 1 Oscar~the Oscars suck BIG time, as do many celebs!

Oscar night is an interesting night of glam & glitter in polished suits - have not seen any of the candidates - I do not have a tv so will not be following the proceedings per say though will look into the news when its over..LOL and perhaps someday I shall get around to seeing the movies mentioned therein.
