My husband finally got home from the hospital around 6:00 the IV drip too about an hour longer than they said it would. He has 4 different pills to take, one of them was of course a pain pill. I should mention he spent the day in the ER yesterday because he was having sever stomach pain and cramps. It turned out he has a very large kidney stone, and a virus.
He took the pain pill as soon as he got home and within a half hour he was feeling pretty good. They must be really good pills because he was really funny. He kept telling all of us he loved us and kept telling me how beautiful I am. I wish he would take those pills more often. LOL
Since his IV drip took so long he will have to wait until Monday to find out if he will need a lythotrypsy or surgery. Surgery would be better as then it is all over with. With the lythotrypsy (I know I am not spelling it right), they break the stone up and it still has to pass, and they put a tube where you really don't want a tube until all the pieces are out. It can take days.
My son's musical had its opening night last night. We are going tonight. My husband will have a good time because he is on the pain meds. Unfortunately though he probably won't remember much of the performance. I will also probably have to fight with him to let me drive. He is always convinced he is the best driver no matter what. Don't worry he won't win, I will drive. It is a short 2 minute drive but a very crowded parking lot, and he should not be driving while on those meds.
I will let you all know on Monday if the doctor decides on surgery or lythotrypsy. Thank you very much for all your prayers and well wishes.

My aunt had surgery and had delusions of balloons one time and confetti and balloons the next. While the hospital kept pushing the morphine after my surgery, I didn't get any of the good stuff. Maybe next time.
